Designing a dedicated chat application for Bhavans College that meets the communication needs of students and faculty. The goal is to create a secure, user-friendly platform that improves communication, boosts engagement, and enhances the overall college experience for users.
I developed a dedicated chat application for Bhavans College, designed specifically for students and faculty. The app features a secure registration process that requires users to verify their college identity with their college ID and roll number, ensuring that only authorized users can access the platform.
With a user-friendly interface, the app includes group chats, direct messaging, and a status feature that allows users to share media and updates. This creates a centralized communication space that enhances interaction.
The process began by researching the communication needs of Bhavans College students and faculty through surveys and interviews. Based on this research, we defined essential features for the chat app, including secure registration with college ID, group chats, direct messaging, announcements, and a media-sharing status feature. We then created wireframes and interactive prototypes to map out user flow and gather feedback, which informed our visual design. After conducting user testing to refine the app, I contributed to the implementation of the final design with the development team. Post-launch, we continued to monitor user engagement and feedback for future improvements.
